DO NOT USE Absolutely horrific solicitors

To be honest they are the worst solicitors I have ever used in my life totally useless & clueless staff as all solicitors they are very good liars when all behind the scenes nothing is getting done.

From the searches being returned nothing and I mean absolutely nothing was done for 3 months no communication to sellers’ solicitors or to me for that matter.

I had advised them on many occasions about the mortgage offer expiring and I needed to know if I should get an extension but, on all occasions, I was told it would be fine and that they would be able to complete before the offer expired.

When they set a completion date, they again failed to answer the phones or respond to emails 1 week later I get an email saying that mortgage offer has expired which was for 3 months and they reckoned this was unusually short what the fiddlesticks are they smoking how long do you need?

I had to instruct another Solicitor to carry out the purchase even after emailing everyone at the company informing them that I would be instructing another solicitor, no reply or any communication.

I just want to warn others out there to be careful of these jokers and I would not wish them on my worst enemy.

Not one to usually complain about a service on google but I have exhausted all options.

I cannot stress enough how horrific of an experience we have had with this firm. We used them for conveyancing on our house purchase in 2019, and subsequently discovered they had not properly filed our land registry documents last summer (2024) when trying to remortgage.

The primary problem however has come after this point. Countless emails, phone messages left, passing the buck back and forth between each other, and I am still waiting (we are now in March) for them to sort the issue out. Not only had this meant we could not remortgage our house with anyone but our current provider, we now are likely to lose out on our house sale.

I have yet to receive any explanation as to why the issue originally occurred despite repeatedly asking since August 2024. Nobody has ever called me back (left direct messages for Kat and for the conveyancing department) at various stages of the process. I emailed the senior partner and no reply. Filed a formal complaint to their complaints offer months ago and no reply.

Being a director of a professional services firm myself, I cannot fathom how a firm can exist with such bad service and frankly negligent professional conduct.

I do have to mention that Kate did help for a time being as much as she could. She then referred the case to their senior partner who never responded. I was then told by Kat that he “doesn’t deal with conveyancing”, was passed back to Kate, and have not received a reply since.

The latest is land registry asked them queries on 3rd March that they a) didn’t let me know about (I had to call land registry to get any info) and b) have not responded to when they know the urgency of my case.

Honestly been the most shocking and stressful experience for myself and my partner.

Very disappointing experience. Needed to make a small amendment to a will which they promised to do 5 weeks ago and said would be done immediately. 5 weeks later and numerous calls and messages and still no further forward. The secretary apologised every time and said she’d asked Cat to deal with this but no further forward. Feel we are left no choice but to go to a different solicitors. Not sure if you are having staff issues but sadly you’ve made yourselves look really unprofessional
