Your reply does not equate to the incompetence of your law practice. The details you have stated in your reply, I was not privy too until now. I have no emails from you regardig these details.
You have also written publicly details regarding the sale of my flat which is actually breaking client confidentiality. This is unprofessional.

Your defensive remarks also show you sending me a formal letter threatening legal action against what I had written was not professional and you were trying to intimidate me.

You wrote to me saying I was damaging your reputation. The only one is damaging your reputation is yourself.

When Robinsons Lettings agency based in Chester Le Street informed me that their office and their Durham office had stopped sending your work should have been a red flag to me.

I should have changed solicitors but I made the unfortunate mistake of you giving you a second chance.

You do not like the idea I have made a formal complaint. If this continues, I will upload the letter you sent to me which was threatening and intimidating. Your staff were obseqiuous towards me on the phone. All your calls are recorded. Also there are emails show that the person dealing with my sale was competent certain aspects of the law.

I strongly advise not to use this law firm. I had a buyer for my flat in mid march. It should have been a straight forward sale. The supposedly "solicitor" dealing with it left the practice and my sale was not handed over. Nothing was done for more than six weeks. It was only when I called to follow things up, it was confirmed the solicitor had left 4 weeks ago and it still took another 2 weeks for someone to act on it. The person dealing with it was more of an admin person with no legal experience. I constantly had to chase them up on a weekly basis. Robinsons letting agent in Chester Le Street who found the buyer for me stopped sending them work from end of March. Their Durham office for Robinsons lettings also stopped sending them work since March as they had also received a lot of complaints from clients who had instructed Michael Cook Law Firm.
The receptionist at Michael Cook Law Firm, who mainly answered the phone was constantly passive aggressive in her manner. She knew the sale of the flat was being delayed and got a great pleasure in treating me in a very undermining way. She was completely unprofessional in her manner.
Michael Cook never returned my phone calls at all, even though I was told he would call back on numerous occasions.
The whole team are unprofessional.
The buyer for my flat pulled out yesterday. He had been desperate to move in since March. His solicitors repeatedly told Michael Cook he need to be moved in by the 12th July.
I am now reporting Michael Cook for malpractice.

They sacked an employee when she told them she was pregnant and they had to pay her compensation. The WORST of the worst.

Edited to add in response to their comment: sorry I meant to say you made them the only person redundant after she announced she was pregnant. Is that more accurate? I'll insert the official judgement below so that the facts are clear.

The unanimous Judgment of the Employment Tribunal is as follows: 1. The following complaints of pregnancy related discrimination contrary to section 18 Equality Act 2010 are well-founded and succeed: a. Withdrawal of the opportunity for a promotion on 1 February 2023 b. Termination of the claimant’s employment on 1 March 2023 2. The respondent unreasonably failed to comply with the ACAS Code of Practice on Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures 2015 and it is just and equitable to increase the compensation payable to the claimant by 20% in accordance with section 207A Trade Union & Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992. 3. The respondents are jointly and severally liable and shall pay to the claimant the following sums: a. Compensation for financial losses: £10,560.75 b. Interest on compensation for financial losses in accordance with the Employment Tribunals (Interest on Awards in Discrimination Cases) Regulations 1996: £550.08
