Had my calls and emails ignored as soon as there was an issue, cost me quite a bit.

Extremely disappointing, would strongly recommend avoiding.
Taytons reached out to me when I listed my property, as had used them to buy it. They gave me a quote which I accepted, and then put the price up half way through the work, when I have no time to search else where.
There was no proactive communication, rely on me to need to call every couple of weeks to ask for updates. The whole process took months more than I suspected, and while I can't know that was just on Taytons (As they blamed the other parties), they left me with zero confidence in their skills.

We've used Tayntons for two property purchases now. Would highly recommend. Caroline helped us for our latest purchase and was very efficient and proactive, and absolutely amazing at handling real estate 'stakeholders'. Definitely someone you want on your team.

We used Tayntons for our house purchase (in particular Jenny & Julie). I'd highly recommend, the team moved at a great pace despite the amount of work they must currently have. Kept us informed and up to date each week. Can't thank the team & Jenny enough!

Really poor service!!! I have never left a bad review for a company before as having run a couple of businesses myself, both in the service industry I know how detrimental they can be when you work so hard to build them up. However given the standard of service received from Taynton’s Solicitors over a long period I felt it well earnt!

Made an offer on a vacant house in May 2024 which was accepted provided we proceed with a quick sale as no onward chain, the sale was being handled by Taynton’s. At the time I hadn’t put our house on the market so to ensure we didn’t lose the property and to make the transaction less stressful we decided to use a bridging loan to purchase and deal with the sale of my house along the way or after we had moved into the new one. I put my house on the market while the bridging loan was being arranged, never thinking that the sale of mine would go through before the purchase of our new one. My house sold at the beginning of August to a property investor, everything seemed to go smoothly with this and managed to “catch up” with the purchase process of the new house, despite the offer being accepted two months after the offer on the new one. At this time I knew the seller was getting inpatient as to why his sale (being handled by Taynton’s) was taking so long. My house was ready to complete before Christmas 2024 but couldn’t get anything out of Taynton’s despite my solicitor (who has been great throughout btw), the estate agent and the seller all pushing Taynton’s for completion. We were thinking it must be soon after Xmas but nothing came back from them. On the 17th Jan 2025 we started pushing for an exchange date of the 14th Feb and a completion of the 20th Feb, as this was half term and suited my partner being a head teacher, so we thought they have to be ready by then. My solicitor put forward these dates to Taynton’s but could get no reply from them over the next three weeks, he tried numerus times to pin these dates down but nothing from Taynton’s to say they could or couldn’t do these dates. On the 12th Feb, two days before expected exchange they finally came back to us, bear in mind that we had removals booked for this week (the owner had kindly said we could move some stuff in after exchange) and they said we can’t do. It’s now the 28th Feb and still Taynton’s will still not give us any response as to when they can complete, nine months after the initial offer was accepted on a vacant house with no chain – how can this be?

Update 01-03-2025: after a final stinking conversation and email to Taynton’s by the seller with an official complaint low and behold Taynton’s have managed to give up a completion date of 07-03-2025. Why does it have to come to this? I can understand that these processes can take a “long time to a point” but on top of that, it’s been the total lake of communication throughout the process has made thing much worse.

Finally completed on the 14-03-2025.
