Tayntons Solicitors

In March 2020 my parents both passed away. Their straightforward will still has not been processed. I have to chase them every few months and get told the person has left and no one picked up the file. Not professional. My brother passed away in 2015. To date his will still has not been processed and finalised. Just not acceptable nor professional. No feedback despite numerous emails of concern. I made final call today. Actually received response finally after my daughters intervention. I have an appointment tomorrow. Let’s see how things go .

Update - Today I was seen by Rachel Curtis. A very professional person indeed. I have full confidence now everything will get sorted and finalised. My faith has been restored. Thanks Rachel.

Update - Boy was I wrong. Since my last update and a lot of emails, Rachel Curtis did zilch. Yep she want to seek advice from Chambers and charge me over two grand for it When I said no, she emailed me last November and basically told me to find another solicitor. I wrote back and asked for my paperwork as I gave her originals and to date I haven’t received anything back. I emailed her last November to email me copies of the wills and to date NO emails received. I phoned Rachel Curtis last November, her secretary told me she’s not at her desk but will call me back. Do you think Rachel Curtis called me back. NOPE, IM STILL WAITING. HOW AM I ABLE TO GET ANOTHER SOLICITOR WHEN RACHEAL CURTIS IS HOLDING ONTO MY PAPERWORK AND MY PARENTS ASSETS AND NOT RESPONDING TO ME. SINCE 2020 IVE BEEN MESSED AROUND BY THIS COMPANY WITH EXCUSES LIKE SOMEONE HAS LEFT AND NO ELSE HAS DEALT WITH IT. RETURN MY PAPERWORK AS PER MY EMAIL. I WILL BE CONTACTING THE LAW SOCIETY AND SEEKING ADVICE ON HOW TO MAKE A FORMAL COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS SHODDY UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY. I SUGGEST EVERYONE ELSE WHO ARE DISGRUNTLED ALSO MAKE FORMAL COMPLAINTS TO THE LAW SOCIETY. PLEASE I BEG OF YOU CUSTOMERS, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. FIND YOURSELF SOMEONE MUCH BETTER.

I recently looked to Tayntons for some legal advise, only to spend several weeks still uninformed and receiving a "6 minute" phone call. I don't know if it's lack of communication from whoever deals with the emails or unprofessionalism actual legal advisors. After many emails and many times told, "we'll get back to you, we've told X person", I lost patience and trust. I even gave time for at least an apology after my last email, which also didn't happen. I am sorry to say this, but you need to do better.

Awful customer service. Nobody returns phone calls or puts you through to speak to a solicitor.

I sold my flat using Taynton's. It should have been a straightforward sale, but due to my landlord's (useless) solicitor the whole thing became a long-running ordeal. Throughout that, Nicola and Kate were really determined in chasing up delayed paperwork and I found that they were responsive whenever I got in touch for updates - which was daily by the end! I really appreciated them fighting my corner and found them detailed orientated and professional.
